 About David  Artist David Mifsud was born in 1976, in Siggiewi, a small village in MALTA where he still resides. Already in his childhood he showed his creativity in whatever he did, from drawings to crafts until now, where he works in interior design as his full time job. Considering the artistic principle “I want my own style” he started experimenting with colours and whatever came in his hands to create a piece of art on canvas. In Malta, from the age of 20 he started studying graphic design, architectural design and interior design, then a couple of years later he decided to start relaxing a bit from the daily routine on computers and in his spare time he retires in his ‘panoramic study’ on the roof and starts playing with colours and objects he collects from different places. David is married to Denise and have 2 children, Gregory, born in June 2007 and Isaac, born in February 2009, both fulfilled their lives but also reduced a lot of David’s spare time to continue regularly with his paintings. Now David is training Gregory to be like him (artistically) but for now, young Gregory hasn’t got the concept were to put the paint apart from all over his face...will try with Isaac too in a couple of years.  His artistic message is to draw attention on people who love colour and a cheerful environment. David doesn’t express sadness in his artwork like many other 'depressed' artists. For David those who express sadness in their paintings want you to share their sadness with them and instead of forgetting all about the bad moments, they put a stamp which is there forever. David is different…when he’s happy, he wants to express his happiness in his paintings, and stays surrounded with happy moments.When other people see his paintings, their first impression is…’wow, I love the colours’, and when some art critic described his art, only happy feelings were expressed, which means David’s message is being understood perfectly.  Personal features - can be recognized at first sight, they are characterized by objects like wood, mosaic, cloth, leaves attached and immersed in his artwork. His paintings are mainly combined paintings, which bear pictorial signs of artistic originality, coiling, spiral motifs starting from circle forms, squares and other shapes mixed with textured gesso which gives his artwork a temptation to feel with your bare hands.
